Welcome to Clugstons Photography
From a young age I’ve always had a passion for photography, taking photos whenever I could and finally getting my first 35mm SLR camera at the age of 21.
Following a career spanning over 30 years in the print and media industry, where I was involved in the production of high-quality news, sports and fashion magazines, I decided to take my hobby to the next level and become a professional photographer. I started out taking landscape pictures in and around my home village of Writtle, Essex and around parts of London where I’d lived and worked. My work soon got noticed on social media, which led to me being commissioned by friends and family, as well as my work being displayed for sale in local pubs and cafes. A friend then invited me to shoot his sporting events, which were mainly boxing and I attended many large British and International World titles fights and charity events, shooting the action from ringside, and capturing the press conferences. This work allowed me to really develop my photography skills, as well as learn new techniques in photo editing suites to enhance my work even further. As my portfolio of work grew, more requests came in for weddings, parties, social events, sporting events, modelling shoots, family portraits and even animal shoots. Another passion of mine is live music and I was lucky enough to be invited take pictures at music festivals and events at some the great music venues around London. I’ve been so fortunate over the past 5 years to be able to turn a hobby in to a new career, and all without any advertising other than my work itself. I’ve been able to travel, take pictures of amazing people, venues and events. For me, it’s not just about taking the best pictures, it’s about capturing the great moments in life, so that my clients can relive and share their joys, successes and happiness with others. Please take a tour through my gallery. The pictures speak for themselves. I look forward to hearing from you soon, Andy Clugston (aka “Cluggy”) |
